Matchy Matchy: Fabric and Wallpaper

Yesterday at the Boston Design Center, I was surprised to notice that Lee Joffa is now offering one of my favorite David Hicks' fabrics, La Fiorentina (which I'e blogged about here), in a grasscloth-like wallpaper!

Because La Fiorentina is such a large and bold pattern, I wonder if designers will go either/or on the fabric/wallpaper, or just go for broke and do it all!

Although matching wallpaper and fabric was essentially a turn of the century trend (as in Victorian Era, not Y2K!), it seems it might be making a comeback...

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I have matchy-matchy Brunschwig & Fils chinoiserie toile wallpaper and fabric in my dining room, and I  it. I think it works because it's a smallish room and relatively small-scale toile. Your opinion may differ! <3
